Sales July 2017, Spain: The Dacia Sandero, the surprise of the month

enrollment going back up in Spain. During the past month of July, sales were up by 2.4% and Renault managed to retain the leadership among the manufacturers, although the SEAT Ibiza has been the car sold.

Las car sales in Spain had during the past month of July an increase of 2.4% compared with the same month of the previous year, with a total of 110.557 vehicles delivered to new owners.

In the first nine months of the year the enrollment has already reached a total of 781.557 units, totaling a rise of 6.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.

With respect to trademarks, Renault has been the leader, because they managed to be placed in front of the SEAT, which has been in the second position, while only 30 vehicles separating it from Volkswagen in the third position of the ranking. Among the manufacturers with figures in positive terms, we find Mahindra (+36.4 per Cent), Subaru (+26,2%), Jeep (+22.2%), and Volkswagen (+19,6%), while, among those that closed in July in negative are Honda (-24,1%), Dacia (-16,2%), Volvo (-10,9%) and Citroën (to 9.6%).

Co with respect to the models, things have not changed too much in the first positions, since the podium has been retained as in June. The first position was for the SEAT Ibiza, which remains high thanks to the arrival of their generational, followed by the SEAT Leon in the second position, and the Volkswagen Golf in the last step.

The fourth place was left for the Dacia Sandero, the model most sold by the brand Romanian in Spain, obtaining a position that the firm could not from the past year. It follows the Renault Clio, closing the ranking of the five models most sold in Spain.
